Improved mobility for my elderly mother --- Linda Dial, Calgary, AB

I learned about Chinese Traditional Medicine almost 40 years ago in June 1972. Since then I have seen a Chinese TCM doctor almost as much as the family doctor. I sought out Doctor Han following an introduction by a friend. My 84 year old mother was about to lose her mobility entirely due to weak and suddenly very painful legs. As usual the emergency hit on a Saturday morning and I knew there was no way hospital emergency could do much for her except give her some painkillers. Desperate, I asked my friend to call Dr. Han and see if by some miracle he could see my mother within a few hours. I was thrilled when I heard that Dr. Han gave us an appt for noon time that very same day. After a 45 minute accupuncture treatment that included warming lamps, my mother got up from the massage table and walked out to the car with a huge smile on her face. The pain was lessoned considerably and she could walk comfortably. Since that day in mid June this year, Dr. Han has been treating my mother regularly once a week and during July and August when he was not too busy teaching, he treated my mother's poor circulation exacerbated by 18 years of damage to her kidneys by lithium carbonate that is used to treat her bi-polar disorder. When Dr. Han first saw my mother, her feet were almost all blue as much old blood seemed to have collected in her veins there and was not circulating. After about 3 months of treatment, there is considerable improvement in the colour of her feet. It is obvious that her blood is circulating through her extremities much better now. Dr. Han also prescribed a herbal medicine drink once a day and a herbal foot bath for my mother's feet and legs. After following this treatment virtually daily for the past 5 months, I am very satisfied with the improvement in my mother's health. Dr. Han saved her mobility and she now can walk without her cane at home. Great! I wish that I had been able to persuade my mother to accept Chinese TCM much earlier but she had to make up her mind by herself. Now she looks forward to her treatment each week and can't wait to get in the car and go! Dr. Han is very sensitive, observant and gentle with senior patients. I highly recommend him to anyone who would like to see their parents in more comfort during their golden years and old age.
