Electrical acupuncture and the use of the TDP heat lamp

Electricity is frequently attached to the needles to increase stimulation.  This is generally done to treat musculoskeletal injury or pain and can significantly increase the rate of healing.  Electricity is traditionally not used to treat internal diseases conditions.

The heat lamp (also known as a TDP lamp) is commonly used to warm the body to treat internal disease and to improve blood circulation and dispel inflammation for some injuries.  It is not appropriate to use for all conditions and so there will be certain occasions when it may not be used during a treatment.
