Is Traditional Chinese herbal medicine safe?

All pills and powder sold at the Total Care Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre are Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) certified.  Note that when you purchase Chinese herbal medicine over the internet, you are taking a risk.   If you do not buy medicine through a practitioner, it is possible that the product may be counterfeit or of unverifiable quality. The other risk is that you will buy a product that is not the right one for you and this can damage your body and make you feel worse.  Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is very complex and there are subtleties to choosing the correct formula that someone without adequate training would not likely understand.  A practitioner has a vested interest in your health. At Total Care Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre, we use powdered herbal medicine because it is more convenient and so cooking is not required.
